Why weren't we that cool in 4th grade?

Okay, maybe it's just our school. I'm sure there are kids out there that are as cool as these 4th graders we just had present to our physics class.

Four 4th graders just came in a showed us how they made a hydrogen fuel cell and explained electrolysis. It was adorable!

How come we never did cool things like that in elementary school?
